A Handy Facebook Checklist

When learning something new, it is often helpful to have a checklist in order to ensure we don’t miss anything. In the case of applications, we often need to revisit them to keep up with changes and updates.

Facebook is one such application. Rules change, layouts change, and profile settings change.

To help you out, I have put together a Facebook Checklist, outlining the main areas you should be looking at periodically.

It’s free to download, so feel free to share it with your friends!

A quick question – is posting five to ten times a week worthwhile now that FB’s algorithm has changed so that so very, very few people see the posts on pages?

    Cheers…. Simon

That’s a great question Simon. I think even with the changes that Facebook has made in organic reach, it’s still important to post on a regular basis. I feel your pain, I have seen my reach diminish from it used to be. However, you are still going to have a percentage of people (especially prospective clients) viewing your fan page (from website links, email signatures, search engines, etc) and I think it’s important that they see posts that are current and up-to-date. I think the most important thing is to be posting relevant content that creates engagement (sharing, commenting, etc) that will move your posts into user’s timelines.
